The year 2005 was the first year with Sunrise Sports as the lead sponsor. The team had a fantastic season, with 5 State Championships, one team member racing in Belgium and numerous other accomplishments. The team continued its USCF association was with the Ann Arbor Velo Club, the largest USCF club in Michigan. A central element of the team continued to be the development of Junior riders. The team offers juniors the opportunity to race and train at the highest levels of the sport. Each year the team works to send as many junior racers as possible to the US Junior Road National Championships, where they gain fantastic experience racing at the highest level of the sport.
